Amorphous Calcium Magnesium Fluoride Phosphate—Novel Material for Mineralization in Preventive Dentistry

This paper describes novel and innovative amorphous calcium magnesium fluoride phosphate (ACMFP) core-shell microparticles that may be applied in preventive dentistry for the prevention of caries treatment dentin hypersensitivity. The particles can synthesized with varied content, up to approximately 6 wt%, without any observable differences morphology or crystallinity. Fluoride release from is correlated are readily converted fluoride-substituted hydroxyapatite fluorapatite a simulated saliva solution. remineralization tubule occlusion potential was evaluated vitro on acid-etched specimens, ACMFP resulted complete formation dense mineralization layer. acid resistance layer improved compared analogous inclusion. A cross-sectional evaluation specimens after revealed high aspect ratio crystals poorly crystalline hydroxyapatite, respectively. current study provide single source vehicle available calcium, phosphate, ions carious lesions as well exposed tubules reduction
